3.1 Service Call Fee

If you choose not to proceed after our technician arrives and provides pricing, a non-refundable service call fee of $29-79 applies (varies by distance). This fee compensates for the technician's travel time and on-site evaluation.

4. Identification and Authorization

For your security and ours, we require proper identification and proof of ownership or authorization before providing services:

• Automotive services: Valid driver's license and vehicle registration or title
• Residential services: Valid ID and proof of residence (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
• Commercial services: Valid ID and authorization documentation showing you can request service for the property

We reserve the right to refuse service if proper identification cannot be provided. This policy protects both you and us from fraud and unauthorized access.

5. Payment Terms

• Payment terms, accepted methods, and due dates will be communicated prior to or at the time of service
• We accept major credit cards, cash, and for business clients we can work with invoices by prior arrangement
• Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements are made in advance
• Failure to make timely payment may result in cancellation or suspension of services
• Returned checks or failed payments may incur additional fees

6. Warranty and Service Guarantees

• We provide a 1-year workmanship warranty on all jobs
• Remote batteries have a 1-month warranty
• Warranty covers defects in workmanship and installed parts under normal use
• Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modifications
• Programmed car keys cannot be returned or transferred once coded to a vehicle
• Warranty service is provided at our expense if the issue is determined to be covered under warranty

7. Service Methods and Approvals

• We prioritize non-destructive methods (picking, decoding, specialized tools)
• Drilling or lock replacement requires your explicit approval after we explain the risks and costs
• All destructive methods and additional parts require advance approval
• We will discuss all options and updated pricing before proceeding with any destructive work

8. No Warranties

The Website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties of non-infringement
• Warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Website content

We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

13. Prohibited Vehicle Brands and Services

We do not provide services for:

• Volvo and Saab vehicles
• Motorcycles (no key cutting, programming, or diagnostics)
• RV ignition and key work (we only provide lockout/door opening for RVs)
• Most non-European vehicles manufactured before 2005

We reserve the right to decline service for vehicles or situations outside our capabilities or service scope.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Website shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
